S.L.A.A. Meetings
Sunday Evening will meet by Zoom only on March 24th and April 28th
Friday Noon Meeting has reverted to Zoom only
Wednesday Evening meeting has been suspended due to low attendance
What Meetings Are Like
Gathering with other sex and love addicts at an S.L.A.A. meeting is the primary way we learn how to get sober and maintain recovery. By giving and receiving support from others like us, we not only have a better chance of recovering, but we also begin to learn how to engage with people in a non-addictive way. You will learn how the Twelve Steps work and how, by working them with a sponsor or recovery partner, you can get and stay sober.
Our meetings give us a safe place to be honest about our sexually compulsive actions and our problems of emotional dependency. At our meetings we tell what we used to be like, what happened, and what we are like now. Meetings provide an open environment where we talk about our addictions with people who understand.
Meeting Modes
There are currently three meeting modes:
No Cost to Attend
There are no dues or fees to attend an S.L.A.A. meeting. Voluntary contributions are collected to support the costs associated with conducting the meeting (e.g., literature, Zoom subscription, rent, etc.)
How to Protect Your Anonymity
S.L.A.A. is very protective of the anonymity of its members. Accordingly, all of our meetings are closed to outsiders and those who are merely curious. However, anyone who believes that they may have a problem with sex and love addiction is welcome. Everyone in attendance is expected to keep the names, contact information and personal details about others you meet or learn about in S.L.A.A. to yourself.
Each meeting is led by an experienced member. For everyone’s psychological safety, if you are a newcomer, the leader will ask you to confirm that you are seeking your own sexual sobriety.
When displaying our names onscreen, introducing ourselves or addressing each other, we use first names only; some members add the first letter of their last name.
To change how your name is displayed onscreen to others, simply edit your personal Zoom profile (Profile > Edit (button is to the right of your name) > Display Name.)
If you dial-in, only several digits of your phone number will be displayed, in order to preserve anonymity.
Tips for Newcomers Attending by Zoom
Frequent Changes to the Meeting Schedule
Meeting details can change frequently and with little or no advance notice. The meeting information on this site was last updated on December 24, 2023.
If you are a newcomer planning to attend your first meeting, you aren’t required to let us know in advance. However, given the pandemic-related disruptions to facility availability and members schedules, etc., we strongly advise that—if you want to attend an in-person or hybrid meeting—that you contact a group representative in advance to confirm the start time and location.

Tips for Newcomers Attending by Zoom
- If you are a newcomer, plan to join the meeting a few minutes before the scheduled start time, so that others may welcome you.
- Please introduce yourself to the group before the meeting begins.
- You have the option of participating with your camera on or off.
- Please mute your line after entering the meeting room.
- Most meetings offer members the opportunity to “get current” (i.e., to share about the challenges you’re experiencing in recovery). If you prefer to listen only, you are free to pass when it’s your turn.
- We do not permit “cross talk” during meetings, meaning that no member can give another member specific advice or comment on what anyone else has shared.
- Meetings are typically one hour in duration. We try to start and end on time. You are welcome to arrive a few minutes early or stay after to engage in conversation and fellowship with other members.
- The meeting leader is able to remove anyone who disrupts the meeting.

The Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
The S.L.A.A. Promises
(p. 95 of the Basic Text)
Now we were truly feeling some sense of deep release from the past! We were free of much guilt for our misdeeds, from the shame of having fallen short of our inner values. In many instances the values we had thought were ours had turned out to be someone else’s, and we had shed or changed these to allow the seeds of our own personal wholeness to take root and grow.
We were indeed living new, positive, unfolding lives. Whether in partnership with others or in solitude, we had truly been granted a spiritual release form our sex and love addiction. While vigilance was still important, the choices we had to make now seemed easier. We felt increasing confidence in our developing partnership with God, and were full participants in the Fellowship of S.L.A.A. We enjoyed solitude and were unafraid of honesty and openness with others. We could comprehend what it means to have dignity of self.
